Inaugural Letter

PRESIDENT’S LETTER

Greetings Everyone!  I am so delighted to write to the residents of Venice East Community.   

This is February 2024, and we as a group are moving forward.  We now have this wonderful website, which will provide current information and hopefully answer many of your questions.  I hope you will be excited by what is being offered and consider joining the Venice East Community Association (VECA), a non-profit volunteer organization. Check on this site for the application form.

We have an excellent Board whose members gather together to plan events. Let me introduce them.

Shanette, President: Shanette oversees everything and contacts potential speakers.  Talks to everyone!   She writes the newsletter for the website.

Andy, Vice President: Andy is in charge of the Ambassador program for newcomers to Venice East and continues to develop his role.

Ken, Membership Secretary: Ken keeps us organized with detailed information so we can contact our members.  

Jill, Media Director: Jill is instrumental in designing and establishing this website and maintaining our presence on social media. 

Treasurer:  Follows up with all financial aspects and keeps us afloat.  She provides the expense reports and the required non-profit tax information.

Kate, Secretary:  Kate writes the minutes and contributes to the webpage.

Everyone of the Board is active within VECA.  In addition, all the community volunteers are helping VECA keep moving and growing.

As President, I encourage you to come to one of our membership meetings and find out who we are and what the next event will be.  We will help you get to know your neighbors and you will help us keep our community strong and a nice place to live. I look forward to meeting you.
